mills:

In 1979, a relatively-unknown Philip Glass wrote music for an animated segment on Sesame Street called “The Geometry of Circles.”  It’s totally awesome.

Update, 6/19/09: Removed, then refound. Thanks, mom!

Nearly as awesome as the piece itself is the fact that Mills’ mum dug it out.  Also, two things:

  1. I would love it if Channel 4, or NBC in the US, adopted this in its entirety as their new station ident;
  2. I would also love it if I could sneak behind the counter in a shop like Gap, or Marks and Spencer, or Top Shop, and replace the Amy Winehouse CD with some Philip Glass.
